Hello Bloggers!! It is, without a doubt, cold and flu season. Count me in as one who has spent over a week in bed with the blah's. I have little to complain about compared to some folks but does it ever end? Still coughing, sneezing, and playing snotty nosed kid but I am definitely far better than a week ago. I had planned on blogging before now but have spent little time on the computer.
Spoke with Dotti Harris a couple evenings ago and her husband, Steve, for those of you who know them, is doing far better these days in his recovery from major surgery two+ weeks ago. He is still unable to speak but, with more time and therapy, that condition should change. Any updates can be read at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/steveharris. Dotti and some of their friends are doing a fabulous job at keeping us all posted on his recovery. Please do keep him in all your prayers.
For anyone interested, Mimi's Crop Circle is hosting an all day (from 11:00 am until midnight) playday this coming Saturday. I can hardly wait to play. Hoping to get some Stampscapes "stuff" done and definitely excited to see some of the folks already coming. If interested, call Mimi's to register for part or all of this fun event. Their number is 206.838.7659. If you have not figured it out yet, this is one of my new play pens. It's a GREAT place to just hang out.
Susan Holton announced today that she is going to do a demo from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Tsukineko's new metal product at the play day. Come for just the demo if you like. I am very excited about this new product and cannot wait to see it demo'ed. For those of you who do not know Susan, she plays a major role in the operation of Tsukineko and Imagine Crafts. We are so fortunate to have her as a GREAT friend and also as part of our crafting circle!! Come and learn more about her and the operation at Tsukineko/Imagine Crafts. She is a wealth of information and shares it and all her talents with all of us. You are the BEST Susan!!
The visit with my sisters (now over 2 weeks ago) was fabulous and Alice was very surprised by her birthday party as she sprung forward into the 50's catagory. I do wonder how that has happened. Below is a snapshot of family visiting and local. We had a great time. I just wish it could have been longer.
Left to Right: Joanne Boulanger (North Bend cousin), moi, Alice (birthday kiddo), Pauline Holshouser (east coast sister), Lorraine Tuttle (east coast sister), Pat Goulet (east coast sister-in-law often referred to as "outlaw"), Leo Stull (Alice's husband and also an "outlaw), Kayla Stull (my neice and daughter to Alice and Leo) and not to be forgotten George Boulanger (seated and North Bend cousin). What a crew!!
There is always more but it is already late so ..... good night and I shall return!! Have a wonderful week and remember to keep it fun!!
Hugs to all - Doris
