Greetings Bloggers!! I had hoped to post much ealier than this but it is what it is. We are not particularly busy at the shop but when I get home in the evenings I am pooped. I suppose that I could say I am still recovering. A computer at the shop would help a lot so that much of the computer work could be done in the daylight. Much clearer head. We are working on it and hope that something will materialize soon. Stay tuned on that one.
Registrations for the 2011 Bookfest are still in progress so if you are so inclined to want to spend a whole weekend in creative bliss, give the shop a call. Space is limited so do it now while you are thinking about it (425.391.1500). The projects are on display at the shop and are WOWZAs so make a point on stopping in to take a look.
The DEX club meeting on Sunday proved to be lots of fun. I've included a couple of photos for your viewing pleasure. Susan Holton gave a rather comprehensive demo on the new Tsukinelo product "Glaze On". It was very cool, informative, and will undoubtedly work well when trying to use the Stazon Inkpads in multiple colors. When applied to the surface of Stazon, another Stazon color can be added and the colors will not become muddied or blend together. A GREAT hit. We'll hear more on this one we are sure.
Sara Brighton delivered some of her wonderful collage sheets just in time for Easter. They are georgeous. Sara also conducted a class this week and what a blast that was. The comaraderie and yip yap continued for hours after class. Total fun!! Potato chips always help!! That new grocery store that has real bargins and is just a few doors to our right, could be the end of us. Large potato chip bags for 50 cents. Can't just buy one you know so gotta share!! Again, what fun!!
Some new product has arrived in the shop. We have Karen Lockhart's newest release along with some fabulous samples. The designs are superb as well. Karen will be teaching at Friends in June so we are definitely looking forward to that. Registrations are now open so call the shop.
I suppose this is enough yip yap for one evening. Hope you are all finding the Spring weather delightful. We gotta make the best of it but hopefully it will get better. Until the next time...... hugs to all - Doris
Here is Susan Holton demo'ing Tsukineko's new product called Goosebumps. More on this new product in my next post. The demo took place at the March Dex Club meeting.
Hey look - that's me!! Thanks to Dave Saylor for this one. OK Dave - Now I need 100 copies!!
Where is Linda Short going?? It really does not matter as long as she leaves that fabulous cake with 1-inch icing. Where's that recipe Linda? Everyone wants a copy!
Is John Peterson really paying attention or is he just now learning how to manage that camera. I'd better be careful - he's one of our 2011 Bookfest instructors.
Photos compliments of Dave Saylor. You can thank him for this one Robin. Do you want 100 copies also? It's a pretty good one!!
Goodnight Everyone........................
