Sunday's Pick for 30 November 2009

Greetings Everyone!!  Hope this post finds everyone well and enjoying the Thanksgiving weekend!  It's been totally fun participating in a range of activities with family and friends.  I even managed to make about 2 dozen beeswax cards, some of which are for a trade next week.  It was a blast!!

My major purpose for posting today is to announce Sunday's pick (which should have been done yesterday-oops!).  With not much time left for making Christmas greeting cards for the holidays, how about an incentive with all Christmas holiday rubber stamps 15% off and, if you mention this blog, make it a whopping 21% off.  We have lots to choose from and, if you are already done for this year and with such a discount, think about what might be possible for next year!!  Just remember to keep it fun!!

I'm working on lots of new "stuff" for 2009 so stay tuned for an exciting year.  We are revamping our passport program with some new "things" replacing some of the old "things".  Don't worry, however, the cupcakes are here to stay!!  We are currently taking registrations so give us a call ((206) 932-3891) if you would like to get on the list for 2009. 

I am also looking at changes in what we offer in the classroom.  Some of these new opportunities will be BIG and EXCITING so I am hoping that you will think so as well.  The newsletter, which I am working on, will contain all of these details so be sure to get on our e-mail list if you are not already on there.

Greetings Everyone!!  Many thanks to all of you who participated in our Passport Program yesterday, Wednesday.  It was really fun to see so many of you stop by.  If you have registered for a 2009 passport, GREAT.  If not, and want to do so, give us a call.  We will begin working on the 2009 passports over the next couple of weeks.  Please note that there will be some changes but changes we hope that will be of benefit for all of us.

Here is wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Hope you have a wonderful day and are able to fill it with family, friends, and an artful journey.  I am looking forward to a day of rest and some fun making holiday cards with the family.  I'll announce Sunday's pick on Friday so stay tuned.....

A Whirlwind Week!!

Greetings Everyone!!  Here it is the eve of Sunday's pick and I am just now posting for tomorrow.  Very sorry for the delay but beginning with the annual craft show up until now, it has been very chaotic!!  I think the holidays are beginning to spring up!!  I know that it is hard to believe but it is true.  We are in a race against time already.  Just remember to keep it fun!

OK now for Sunday's pick, well, with the BIG sale to passport members on Wednesday, it'll be hard to beat but here goes.  All paper in stock is off 50% - yep, that is half off of its usual cost for Sunday, 23 November all day long.  In fact, because of a class, I will be opening our door at 11:00 am so you can get an early start on this one-day incredible sale.  There is tons of paper to choose from so make it a point to stop in tomorrow!!

I also have several Paper Connections available for anyone who might want to try one for themself from previous months.  They would also make a terrific holiday gift for perhaps that hard to buy for person.  Lots of themes are currently available to choose from so stop in to take a look.

A reminder for all passport members that Wednesday, 26 November 2008, is our annual "Black Friday" event where, as a passport member, you receive 40% off your entire purchase anytime from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm.  You MUST have your passport with you in order for our staff to validate your membership and receive this honking discount so please do not forget it!!  It is regrettable that we will NOT host our usual 5:00 am black Friday but we are hoping that as a passport member you will still enjoy the same discount.  See you soon!!

Our annual craft show was a HUGE success with many of you stopping by to see what was up.  Our various crafters were in their usual state of offering great handmade items at very affordable prices.  I really hope you had an opportunity to stop by because I just think it was one of the best!!

I likely have more to babble about but enough for one evening!!  Hope you have a fabulous week and a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Make it fun with family and friends and don't forget to give thanks for all there is.  I know I am very thankful for many many things including each of you and my terrific, very supportive family.  I just wish we could all be together but you gotta know that I will be thinking of them on the east coast and we will be in touch!

BIG Craft Show Weekend at Friends and Company

Greetings Everyone!!  We've been extremely busy for the last few days getting ready for our annual Holiday Craft Show.  It's gonna be explosive with so much fun stuff for the holidays.  One of the best aspects of this show is that items being offered by our talented vendors are extremely affordable and great for gift giving.  There is tons to choose from so cruise on over Friday, Saturday, or Sunday anywhere from 10-5 each day.  We are very excited and I just know that you will be also.  We have most of our old timers who have been with us for years and several new folks as well so there is likely something for everyone!!  Reminder that edibles will be available for as long as they last on Friday evening.  What more of an incentive do you need knowing that our famous eggnog punch awaits you?

Another reminder taken from my recent e-mail to our e-mail list is that on Sunday, I announced a 21% off sale on all of our rubber stamps as part of our holiday craft show and also as Sunday's Pick.  Now is the time for even more gift giving.  Let's keep the fun going!!

Kayla is in and out of the shop as time permits with her 3-day walk for breast cancer fund raiser.  I am here to tell you that the pretzel's she is peddling are out of this world.  They are all hand dipped in chocolate and coated with yummies!!  It's hard to resist that sweet and salty all at the same time.  My sister, Pauline, who is doing the actual walk, is well on her way to receiving the pledges she needs to participate in the walk.  She and her two partners, also doing the walk, are extremely grateful to anyone who has participated in their fund raising in any way.  For me, well, it really brings tears to my eyes knowing that Pauline is walking for our sister-in-law who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2001.  I'm happy to contribute in whatever way possible knowing that it may just make a difference to someone when a cure is found.

Although it is not particularly late, I'm pooped so I'm off to blow some zzzzz's.  I hope to see many of you over the weekend.  I'm really excited about all the great stuff at the shop and hope you'll take some time to look for yourself.  Until then...... hugs to all - Doris

EEEEEEKKKKKK... It's Saturday Already

Greetings Everyone!!  All of a sudden I've realized that it is Saturday evening (almost) and I have yet to issue my Sunday's pick!!.  So let's make this short and sweet and get Sunday's pick done and out.  I'll blog later and inbetween getting ready for the craft show.
